| TITLE: Grand Targhee Ski Area |

NOTES: Across the Tetons from Jackson near Driggs Idaho, the Grand Targhee ski area (aka Grand Foggy) has 63 runs open to snowboarding with a maximum vertical of 2,400 feet over 2,000 skiable acres. Open slopes, deep powder, trees and glades, natural half pipes, cornices, and chutes provide an excitement and challenge for all levels of riders. FYI - Can be alittle flat for good riding.
New for 2002 is a high speed quad on Peaked Mountain opening an additional 500 acres. This Sacajewca Lift accesses a gnarly cliff band.
On a big pow day, take the Dreamcatcher quad lift to Instructors Chute or Patrol Chute or Nasty Gulch. For extra challenge, try Marys Nipple backcountry area accessible via Dreamcatcher and Teton Vista Traverse.
For apres ski, the only option is Trap Bar at the base, but dont expect it to be rockin . For some nightlife, cruise down to Knotty Pine in Victor.
