REGION: Algonquin Provincial Park TITLE: Leaf Lake Ski Trail
NOTES: Close to Huntsville, the groomed Pine Tree Loop near Leaf Lake (46km) provides some of the most beautiful vistas and exhilarating skiing available anywhere. As well as a great variety of country, you may see the tracks of moose, otter, Ruffed Grouse, marten and many other animals. In several places you will also see bears nests, tangles of broken branches left in the tops of beech and oak trees by bears feeding on nuts or acorns in the fall.
