NOTES: In the Eagle Mountains, the Wild Bill ORV Trail is a 5.4 mile route open to ATV riding. There is a gravel parking lot at Upper Dayton and Blacktail trailheads.

To reach the Wild Bill ORV trailhead from the south-side of Lakeside, follow Blacktail Road (FS917). Follow FS917 roughly 12 miles to a well signed turn off for the Wild Bill OHV trail. Take this left and there is a parking lot immediately.

According to the local Ranger District Office, this trail is also known as the Black Tail ORV Trail.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is permitted only if the ATV has a valid Montana license plate.
