COUNTRY: US   STATE: Arizona   (Printer Version)   (Download Waypoints - GPX Format) ?
REGION: Arizona Strip OHV Routes   TITLE: Arizona Strip OHV Routes (Arizona)
NOTES: In northwest Arizona and southwest Utah, the vast Arizona Strip OHV area has over 5,000 miles of dirt roads open to OHV travel. The roads traverse high desert and some ponderosa pine forest. The area is a combination of trails that makes a 63 mile loop (aka Arizona Strip Frontier Trail). The trails used include the Honeymoon Trail, the Temple Trail, the Sunshine Trail, the Warner Valley Trail, and the Sand Hollow OHV Park.

The trail starts just south of Hurricane, Utah. To reach the trailhead from Hurricane, turn south off of State Street onto S700W (Airport Road). Turn Right just before the Hurricane Airport (at the Animal Shelter) then continue south around the Hurricane airport. Continue on the road past a second airport, the Grassy Meadow Sky Ranch Air Park. Turn right at the end of the runway just before you cross the cattle guard. There is a parking area on the right side of the road.

Note: Flags are required.
