NOTES: West of Denver, the Copper Mountain ski area is known for the best freeriding in Summit County and has 125 runs open to telemarking with a maximum vertical of 2,600 feet spread over 2,400 acres.
On a pow day, head up the Storm King Lift and head down into Spaulding Bowl for 1000 feet of 45 degree chutes and mini cliff bands.
Try the free snowcat service up Tucker Mountain or check out the Resolution and Spaulding bowls at above 12,000. Also, ride the Enchanted Forest or Seventeen Glades.
For apres ski, head to Endos at the base of the American Eagle Lift, or head to McGillycuddys.
