Green Ridge State Forest Mountain Biking Map
COUNTRY: US   STATE: Maryland   (Printer Version)
REGION: Green Ridge State Forest   TITLE: Green Ridge State Forest Mountain Biking
NOTES: East of Cumberland and Flintstone, the 40,000 acre Green Ridge State Forest has the most challenging mountain bike trail network in Western Maryland. The trail system consists of 12 miles of rolling singletrack and miles of forest roads through oak-hickory forests. There are sustained climbs, stream crossings and log hops to challenge your spirit. This region is very dry, so the riding is almost year-round (so dry that theres even prickly pear cactus!).

To reach the trailhead from Cumberland, head east on US68 to Exit 62 (15 Mile Creek Road). Head north on 15 Mile Creek Road to SR144. Turn west on SR144 for 1.7 miles. Turn left onto Old Williams Road for 1 mile. Turn left on Black Sulphur Road for 1 mile. Turn right onto Wallizer Road for 0.5 miles. Turn left into field for trailhead parking and camping.
