NOTES: West of Golden in the Dogtooth range of the infamous Purcells near Kicking Horse ski area, the Dawn Mountain Nordic Trail is a 25km network groomed for classical skiing. The network consists of four loops from 2.5 to 7km long, groomed by the Golden Outdoor Recreation Association.
To reach trailhead from Golden BC on the TransCanada Highway, follow signage for Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, 12.5 km west of Golden on Kicking Horse Trail. Trailhead sign at the upper parking lot beyond the daylodge
