Northeast of Phoenix and east of Fort McDowell in the Tonto National Forest, the Four Peak Rolls OHV Area (aka Four Peaks Mine) for ATV riding has varied terrain rolling over mountains and through creek beds and sandwashes near steep cliffs and mountainous areas. This 27,000 acre area has over 75 miles of roads and trails open to ATV riding. There are vistas of Superstition Mountain, Four Peaks Mountain and Weavers Needle.
To reach the ATV riding at Four Peak Rolls OHV Area from Phoenix, head east on SR202 towards Mesa. Follow SR202 to end where it turns into SR87. Continue northeast on SR87 for 27 miles. Turn right on access road to the trailhead (south of the Four Peaks Road).
The Sycamore Creek ATV Area is only 3 miles away.
Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is limited to roads signed with horizontal numbers and also marked as open to ATV riding.
Overall, Four Peak Rolls OHV Area is the 1st most popular ATV riding trail of all 42 ATV trails in Arizona.
