Lakeview OHV Park For ATV Riding

North of Iowa City and northwest of Solon, the Lakeview OHV Area (aka Coralville Lake ORV Area or Ely OHV Park) has 160 acres open to ATV use. This large tract of land has numerous trails with areas ranging from sandy shoreline flats to heavily wooded areas intermingled with lowland. The borders of this riding area are defined by a county road, a creek bed and highway guardrail (on the southern boundary).
To reach the ATV riding at the Lakeview OHV Park from US80, use Exit #246. Head north on SR1 for 8.6 miles to Solon. Turn left heading west on East Main Street (aka Highway F16) for 2.5 miles. Turn right heading north on Ely Road (aka W6F) for 0.9 miles. Turn left heading west on 140th Street for 0.2 miles. The Lakeview OHV Park is on the left. Note: All resident owned ATVs and dirt bikes must display a valid Iowa DNR registration. All non-resident owned ATVs and dirt bikes must display a valid non-resident user permit. Helmets are required for all riders. Riders from 12 to 17 years of age must have a valid safety certificate. Riding double is prohibited. All vehicles must have mufflers limiting noise to under 96db.
