Claiborne Multi-Use Trail System For ATV Riding

The MOST popular all terrain vehicle trail in Louisiana.

West of Alexandria near Pineville in the Kisatchie National Forest, the Camp Claiborne ATV Area has 90 miles of trails shared by ATV riders.The trails are through pine upland forest and through the abandoned WWII military base, Camp Claiborne.

To reach the trailhead from Alexandria, head south on US49 to Forest Hills exit. In Forest Hills, head north on SR165 for 3 miles. Turn onto SR112 for 4 miles and watch for sign on the right.

The trail system consists of three 30 mile loops: North Loop, Woodworth Loop and Boy Scout Loop (motorcyle only).

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is prohibited.

Overall, Claiborne Multi-Use Trail System is the 1st most popular ATV riding trail of all 9 ATV trails in Louisiana.
