Bong State Recreation Area For ATV Riding

The 7th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Wisconsin.

Southwest of Kansasville in Kenosha County, the 4,500 acre Richard Bong State Recreation Area has 7 miles of trails for ATV riding on gently rolling terrain. There are many sharp turns and an optional water course. The trail is a series of three one-way loops.

The Bong is located 9 miles west of US94 on SR142. Use Parking Lot E. Trails are open weekdays throughout the year and weekends summer/winter. There are three loops open to OHV riding. Loop 1 and Loop 2 open at 9 am daily. Loop 3 opens after noon, at the earliest. The availablity of this riding area changes daily, so make sure to call (262) 878-5600 and listen to the recorded message before heading out.

Note: ATVs up to 48 inches wide and 650 pounds allowed.

Overall, Bong State Recreation Area is the 7th most popular ATV riding trail of all 48 ATV trails in Wisconsin.
