Upper Harden Creek / Coal Creek Trail For ATV Riding

The 11th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Idaho.

Northeast of Stanley near Clayton in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, the Upper Harden Creek / Coal Creek Trail (#167) is a 10 mile route.

To reach the trailhead from Clayton, head west on SR75 for 24 miles. Turn right on Lower Harden Creek Road. Parking is just off the road.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is permitted only on designated dirt Forest Service roads. A map with designated roads can be obtained from the Forest Service HQ at (208) 756-5100. In addition, the ATV must pass a strict list of regulations.

Overall, Upper Harden Creek / Coal Creek Trail is the 11th most popular ATV riding trail of all 55 ATV trails in Idaho.
