Amargosa Big Dune For ATV Riding

Northwest of Las Vegas and southeast of Beatty, the Amargosa Big Dune is a 5 square mile ATV playground which has mainly been a local secret. The dunes consist of crushed grains of feldspar and quartz. There are numerous small washes to explore.

To reach the ATV riding trailhead for the Amargosa Big Dune from Las Vegas, head north on US95 into Amargosa Valley. Turn west on Valley View Road for 2 miles. Turn onto dirt road leading to dunes which are just north of Amargosa Valley.

Overall, Amargosa Big Dune is the 1st most popular ATV riding trail of all 27 ATV trails in Nevada. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Amargosa Big Dune including Logandale Trail System, Moapa Valley OHV Park, Nellis Dunes, Bitter Springs Trail and Crescent Dunes.
