Rockingham Recreation Trail For ATV Riding

The MOST popular all terrain vehicle trail in New Hampshire.

From Fremont to Derry, the Rockingham Recreation Trail is a 18 multi-purpose route open to ATV riding. The route is in the shape of a V and has three trailheads. The western portions of this trail system are being paved from Freemont. Therefore, OHRV use is only allowed west of SR28 when there is adequate snow cover.

The eastern terminus ATV riding parking area is south of Fremont on SR107.

The western terminus ATV riding parking area is at Windham Depot, which is southwest of Derry, at the intersection of SR28 and Depot Road. However, there is only limited parking available in the winter at this parking area.

The southern terminus parking area is near Salem off SR111.

Note: there are no legal OHRV trails off the Rockingham Recreation Trail. All legal OHRV trails in New Hampshire must have a posted Allowed Use sign.

Overall, Rockingham Recreation Trail is the 1st most popular ATV riding trail of all 19 ATV trails in New Hampshire.
