Southeast of Superior, the Iron River ATV Trail is a challenging 17.5 mile sandy trail winding through forest. This sandy, challenging route with sharp turns overlooks several scenic lakes.

The trailhead is at the Long Lake boat landing.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is only permited on certain designated routes. Also, a valid Wisconsin ATV registration sticker is absolutely required.

Overall, Iron River ATV Trail is the 18th most popular ATV riding trail of all 48 ATV trails in Wisconsin.
