The looping trail system follows old logging roads and railroad grades while passing through pine and hardwood forests. It has a hard-packed dirt and grass surface. This trail is popular with hikers, mountain bikers, horseback and ATV riders.
To reach the trailhead from Virginia, head north on SR53 for 8 miles. Turn right on CR131 for 1 mile. Turn left on CR68 for 0.3 miles. Continue straight on CR405 for 2 miles to parking lot.
Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads. To obtain a map of designated roads, contact the Forest Service HQ at (218) 626-4300.
