Sheridan Mountain / Smith Mesa For ATV Riding
The 18th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Arizona.

West of Chino Valley near Camp Wood in the Prescott National Forest, the Sheridan Mountain / Smith Mesa ATV Trail System consists of 42 miles of trails through caparral and ponderosa pine forest.
The Sheridan Mountain ATV riding area has three staging areas; near Camp Wood in the north, near Stinson Mountain in the north, and near Spider Ranch in the southeast.
Note: ATVs must be under 50" wide.
Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is limited to ATVs that have a valid license plate.
Overall, Sheridan Mountain / Smith Mesa is the 18th most popular ATV riding trail of all 42 ATV trails in Arizona. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Sheridan Mountain / Smith Mesa including Crown King, Tonto Wash Trail, Alto Pit ATV Area, Hayfield Draw OHV Area and Seven Mile Gulch Trail.
