Bear Lodge Mountains For ATV Riding

The 2nd most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Wyoming.

North of Sundance in southeastern Wyoming in the Black Hills National Forest, the Bear Lodge Mountains have miles of forest roads open to ATV riding. The elevations range from 4,000 to 7,000 feet.

To reach the Reuter Parking Area from Sundance, head west on US90 to Exit 185. Head west on US14 for 1 mile. Turn right heading north on Sundance-Warren Peak Road for 2 miles.

Make sure you have the current Wyoming ORV permit.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is only permitted on roads signed with three numbers and not currently marked closed.

Overall, Bear Lodge Mountains is the 2nd most popular ATV riding trail of all 27 ATV trails in Wyoming.
