Lander For ATV Riding

The 9th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Wyoming.

Southwest of Lander in the Shoshone National Forest, there are miles and miles of roads in the Shoshone National Forest open to ATV riding.

Make sure to have the current Wyoming ORV permit.

Trailhead is just off HWY 28 on Louis Lake Rd. It is northwest of Atlantic City, WY.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads. To obtain a map of designated roads, contact the Forest Service HQ at (307) 527-6241.

Overall, Lander is the 9th most popular ATV riding trail of all 27 ATV trails in Wyoming. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Lander including Shoshone Lake Trail and Petes Lake Trail.
