Fremont ATV Trail ATV Trails

East of Cedar City and west of Bryce, the Fremont ATV Trail (#002) is a 50 mile north-south ATV route.

The southern trailhead is at Tropic Reservoir. To get to the Tropic Reservoir Trailhead, turn south on the East Fork Rd (# 087) off Highway 12. After 7 miles you will see a sign for Tropic Reservoir and Kings Creek Campground. Turn right and continue around the reservoir for Ā½ mile to the parking area and trailhead. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. You can also access the Fremont Trail from Casto Canyon.

The Fremont Trail proceeds north to Circleville.

To reach a trailhead from Panguitch, follow River Lane to Airport Road. Turn on Airport Road and follow to Limekiln Road. Follow Limekiln Road to the trailhead parking area.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is permited on designated Forest Service roads only and the ATV must have a valid Utah ATV sticker. For a map of designated open roads, contact the Dixie National Forest HQ at (435) 865-3700.
