North of Concord near Sanborton in Merrimack County, the Sanbornton / Franklin Trails have 35 miles of ATV routes. These trails are on private lands and are maintained by the Salmon Brook Trail Riders. There is parking near Cawley Pond on SR132.

Note: The State Of New Hampshire requires a NH state registration tag on every ATV. An out-of-state registration tag is not valid in NH. They will issue a fine if you try riding without a NH tag.

Overall, Sanbornton / Franklin is the 17th most popular ATV riding trail of all 19 ATV trails in New Hampshire. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Sanbornton / Franklin including Hopkinton-Everett Multi-Use Trail System, Henniker Trails, New Durham Trails, Bear Brook State Park Snowmobile Trails, Hillsborough Recreation Trail and Tri-County OHRV/ATV Trails.
