Southeast of San Diego and Ensenada, the San Felipe area has miles of ATV riding. Known for the San Felipe 250 Race, the region has more riding terrain than you can possibly explore in one trip. There are 50 miles of beach riding (start by riding south towards Puertositos). In the desert outside San Felipe, youll find twisting canyons and open desert with markers for the race course rolling over washes.
SanFelipeOffRoad, in cooperation with El Dorado Ranch, has developed a network of desert trails for our ATV and Desert Buggy Experience. These trails are approved by the local environmental engineers and are dedicated for use by the off-road enthusiast visiting the San Felipe area. We have developed quad only areas as well as mixed use trails for cars and bikes along with quads.
The SanFelipeOffRoad trail network closely mirrors the conditions encountered in off road racing. The marking system is an arrow sign method indicating direction of travel as well as turns, hazards etc.. Clients will be briefed on the color coding system and the meaning of arrow positions at the time of departure. All trails are one directional and monitored for the safest possible conditions.
SanFelipeOffRoad has utilized parts of the actual courses used by SCORE International and other race promoters in our trail network. Consequently we may from time to time need to close portions of the trail network. Please consult our RACING page for dates of closures in order to avoid conflicts.
Currently the trail network is open to the public free of charge. We ask only that you check in at the SanFelipeOffRoad office located at KM 176.5 MEX. Hwy. 5, on the way to San Felipe. The management here at SanFelipeOffRoad reserves the right to change policy at any time without prior notice.
If you are staying at the El Dorado Ranch Beach Club all you need to do is ask at the Ranch Store or Member Services Office and they will call us for a shuttle from the club to the off road park.

Note: Prior to 1997, the topographic maps developed by the federal government used the NAD27 CONUS datum. Starting in 1998, the government transitioned to the ITRF92 datum (some maps show both datum), which is pretty much identical to the WGS84 datum.
