Schnebly Hill Road For ATV Riding

The 7th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Arizona.

Southeast of Sedona in the Coconino National Forest, the Schnebly Hill Road offers 12 miles of ATV riding. This route follows old Schnebly Hill Road to the top of the Mogollon Rim with around 1,500 feet of vertical climbing.

To reach the Schnebly Hill Road ATV riding trailhead from uptown Sedona, head west on SR89A to SR179. Then follow SR179 south 0.3 miles. Turn left heading east on Schnebly Hill Road for 0.8 miles. The route starts at the signed parking area on the left.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is permitted on any Forest Service road that has a vertical number sign. On Forest Service roads with horizontal number signs, the ATV must have valid license plates.

Overall, Schnebly Hill Road is the 7th most popular ATV riding trail of all 42 ATV trails in Arizona.
