Shoshone Lake Trail For ATV Riding
The 14th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Wyoming.

Southwest of Lander in the Shoshone National Forest, the Shoshone Lake Trail (#711) is a 17 mile route open to ATV riding. The route starts on the Petes Lake Trail (#720) and past Petes Lake it becomes the Shoshone Lake Trail, which leads to the western shore of Shoshone Lake.
To reach the trailhead from Lander, head south on SR131 for about 10 miles to the Middle Fork Guard Station.Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads. To obtain a map of designated roads, contact the Forest Service HQ at (307) 527-6241.
Overall, Shoshone Lake Trail is the 14th most popular ATV riding trail of all 27 ATV trails in Wyoming. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Shoshone Lake Trail including Lander and Petes Lake Trail.
