Summit Rock - Crater Trail For ATV Riding

The 40th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Oregon.

Southeast of Eugene and east of Roseburg in the Umpqua National Forest, the Summit Rock - Crater Trail (#1457) is a 8.4 mile route open to ATV riding. It is on an abandoned forest road. The route has views of Mount Bailey and Diamond Lake. To reach the ATV riding trailhead for the Summit Rock / Crater Trail (#1457) from Roseburg, head east on SR138 for roughly 80 miles. Turn right on FS 4795 (Diamond Lake Loop) near the north entrance to the Diamon Lake Recreation Area. The start of the trail is near the Diamond Lake horse corral on the left.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service Roads is limited to gravel roads and the ATV must have a valid Oregon ATV sticker.

Overall, Summit Rock - Crater Trail is the 40th most popular ATV riding trail of all 44 ATV trails in Oregon.
