Overwhich Falls Trail For ATV Riding

The 9th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Montana.

South of Darby and southwest of Sula in the Bitterroot National Forest, the Overwhich Falls Trails (#182 and #248) provide scenic ATV riding. This is an easy trail with only a few steep rocky sections.

To reach the trailhead from Darby, head south on SR473. Veer left heading south on West Fork Highway past Painted Rocks Lake. Turn left heading east on FS5706 to the end.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is only permitted on designated roads. Also, a valid ATV registration from any state is required.

Overall, Overwhich Falls Trail is the 9th most popular ATV riding trail of all 25 ATV trails in Montana.
