Winchester Bay / Umpqua Dunes For ATV Riding

South of Winchester Bay and southwest of Reedsport, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area has the regions most popular ATV riding areas with 900 acres of sand dunes along the Oregon coast. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area consists of 3 riding/staging areas: South Jetty To Siltcoos, Winchester Bay / Umpqua Dunes, and Spinreel (Tenmile Creek) To Horsfall.
The Winchester Bay / Umpqua Dunes riding area has the tallest sand dunes in the area. Its also know for its deep bowls. The beaches in this area are closed to riding.
The trailhead is located 17 miles southwest of Tillamook and 6 miles north of Pacific City.
Note: An Oregon State OHV sticker, a permit, a flag and a muffler (max 93db) are required.
