North of Sierra City in the Tahoe National Forest, the Gold Valley OHV Trail is a 7.8 mile one-way route.
Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads. To obtain the latest map of designated roads, contact the Forest Service HQ at (530) 265-4531.
Overall, Gold Valley OHV Trail is the 80th most popular ATV riding trail of all 106 ATV trails in California. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Gold Valley OHV Trail including Chimney Rock Trail, Deer Lake OHV Trail, Sierra Buttes OHV Trail, Downie River OHV Trail, Craycroft Ridge OHV Trail and Fir Cap OHV Trail.
