North of McCall in the Payette National Forest, there are miles of Motorized Trails open to ATV riding.
There are two good trailheads. The Ruby Meadows Trailhead, just south of Burgdorf off FS364, provides access to Trail #141 (first 4 miles open to ATV). The other trailhead is located at the end of FS250 and provides access to Trail #250 (first 3.4 miles open to ATV), Trail #163 (first 5.4 miles open to ATV).
Note: As of September 2007, ATV Riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads. Make sure to contact the Ozark National Forest HQ to obtain a map showning these roads at (208) 634-0700.
Overall, Morgan Lake / Rainbow Lakes is the 32nd most popular ATV riding trail of all 55 ATV trails in Idaho. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Morgan Lake / Rainbow Lakes including Sturgill Peak Area and Blackwell Lake / Fall Creek Saddle.
