Bear Wallow Trail For ATV Riding

The 12th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Idaho.

North of Boise and Garden Valley in the Boise National Forest, the Bear Wallow Trail (#035) is open to ATV riding.

The trailhead is located on FS693, which is off FS 698 (south of the Tie Creek Campground).

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service roads is permitted only on designated roads. All ATVs must have a valid ATV registration. In addition, there is an extensive list of regulations that also must be met. Make sure to call the Boise National Forest HQ prior for a complete list (208) 373-4039.

Overall, Bear Wallow Trail is the 12th most popular ATV riding trail of all 55 ATV trails in Idaho. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Bear Wallow Trail including Idaho Cenntenial Trail, Danskin Mountains OHV Area, Kirkham Ridge Trail, Wilson Flat ATV Trail System, Upper 8th Street Trails and Ridge To Rivers Trail System.
