East of Cantwell, the Butte Lake Trail is a 5 mile trail to Butte Lake. The route is open to ATV riding.

To reach the trailhead from Cantwell, head east on the Denali Highway (SR8) for 39.5 miles.

Overall, Butte Lake Trail is the 24th most popular ATV riding trail of all 27 ATV trails in Alaska.
