In the Wise River Ranger District of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, the Long Tom Creek Trail #241 is a 9.8 mile route open to ATV riding.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is only permitted on designated Forest Service roads and a Montana ATV registration sticker is requiredon all ATVs.

Overall, Long Tom Creek Trail is the 25th most popular ATV riding trail of all 25 ATV trails in Montana. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Long Tom Creek Trail including Whitetail / Pipestone, Camp Creek Trail, Alder Creek Trail, Gold Creek - Sheep Creek Trail, Little Joe Trail and Meadow Creek Trail.
