Pipeline / Stateline Trail For ATV Riding
The 20th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Wyoming.

West of Encampment in the Medicine Bow National Forest, the Pipeline / Stateline Trail #412 is a 7.5 mile route that is open to ATV riding. The trail winds through mixed conifer and aspen forests. The trail is marked with rock cairns, posts and tree blazes. Parts of this section of the CDNST are two-track four-wheel drive roads and shared use. Vehicles with four-wheel drive and high clearance are recommended this section of the CDNST. From the Pipeline trailhead the trail is non-motorized until it reaches National Forest System road 550.2E. Once the trail leaves the road travel is restricted to motorized vehicles under 48 inches wide.
To reach the ATV riding for the Pipeline / Stateline Trail:
#1:Travel west of Encampment on Wyoming Highway 70 for 6 miles, turn onto National Forest System Road (NFSR) 550 and drive for approximately 21 miles. Turn onto NFSR 809 and travel northwest for one mile; the trailhead is located at this point on the right hand side of the road.
