Kakwa Wildland Park For ATV Riding
The 28th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Alberta.

Southwest of Grand Prairie, the Kakwa Wildland Park has 24km of ATV riding on Horn Ridge. This trail is located in the Kakwa corridor; 9 km from trail junction to mountain top; 15 km of trails along ridges; OHVs must stay on main trail; very unique alpine area with large expanse of alpine meadows, flora and wildlife; excellent views of Two Lakes/Kakwa corridor, mountain ridges & peaks.
Wildlife in the area includes woodland caribou, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, moose, mule & white-tailed deer, grizzly & black bears, wolves, lynx & red fox.
To reach the Kakwa Wildland Park from Grand Prairie, head 10 km south of Grande Prairie on Hwy. 40, 35 km southwest on SH 666, then 110 km southwest on truck trail.
The Horn Ridge trailhead is located 4km past Stinking Springs.
