South of Sedona in the Coconino National Forest, the Bill Gray-Buckboard Road is a 18.5 mile road open to street legal ATVs.

To reach the trailhead from the intersection of SR 89A and SR 179 in Sedona, go west-south on SR 89A for 16 miles. Turn right on Bill Gray Road. This is the start of the Bill Gray-Buckboard Road ATV riding route. Follow Bill Gray Road and then Buckboard Road.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is permitted on any Forest Service road that has a vertical number sign. On Forest Service roads with horizontal number signs, the ATV must have valid license plates.
