Idaho Peak Road For ATV Riding

The 34th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in British Columbia.

In the Valley Of The Ghosts near Sandon, the Idaho Peak Road is open to ATV riding. This is an unmaintained 12km road starting at Sandon. It switchbacks up past old mines on the way to the peak (2280m).

Note: As of August 2008, the Ministry of Forests Regulations require all ATV drivers to be at least 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license to ride on Forest Service Roads. In addition, the ATV must have valid third-party liability insurance, which is typically around $120 per year. The Conservation Officers will issue a $600 ticket if you do not have proof of insurance.

Overall, Idaho Peak Road is the 34th most popular ATV riding trail of all 61 ATV trails in British Columbia.
