Mount Stoyoma For ATV Riding

The 14th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in British Columbia.

Southwest of Kamloops near Merritt, the Mount Stoyoma area has several ATV riding routes. West of Merritt, there are Petit Creek FSR and Jack Swart Road. Off the later, there is a nice trail between Silver Lake and Lightning Lake. The Stoyoma area has nice camping along Cabin Lake, and great riding along numerous old logging roads.

Note: As of August 2008, the Ministry of Forests Regulations require all ATV drivers to be at least 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license to ride on Forest Service Roads. In addition, the ATV must have valid third-party liability insurance, which is typically around $120 per year. The Conservation Officers will issue a $600 ticket if you do not have proof of insurance.

Overall, Mount Stoyoma is the 14th most popular ATV riding trail of all 61 ATV trails in British Columbia.
