Waipio Ditch For ATV Riding

The 7th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Hawaii.

Northeast of Waimea and southeast of Kukuihaele on the Hamakua Coast, the Waipio All Terrain Vehicle Adventures is a guided route along Waipio Ditch through some of the most lush tropical flora, clandestine mountain streams and waterfalls, a temperate climate and simply awesome views of majestic Waipio Valley and Mauna Kea. The route follows old sugarcane backroads and sloping trails.

To reach the ATV riding trailhead for Waipio Ditch from Waimea, head east on SR19 to Honoka a. Turn northwest on SR240 to Waipio Lookout. Just before the lookout, turn right and head downhill to the Waipio Valley Artworks on the left.

Overall, Waipio Ditch is the 7th most popular ATV riding trail of all 10 ATV trails in Hawaii.
