Copper Creek ORV Area For ATV Riding

Southeast of Kansas City near Deepwater, the Copper Creek ORV Area covers approximately 400 acres of hills, trails, and open areas and is divided into a north and a south riding areas. The north ATV riding area is 90 acres in size. The south ATV area has a parking area and restroom and is much larger with over 300 acres containing more intricate trails. Use of the Copper Creek ORV Area for ATV riding is free.
It is unlawful to operate ORVs on a state right-of-way or Henry County roads. This includes all of the roads within the Cooper Creek Area and Highway 13. A crossing zone has been established for riders traveling between the north and south riding areas. All riders must come to a complete stop and then proceed with caution. Observe all traffic and safety signs. Parking areas are for loading and unloading only. Ride slowly in these areas. The Copper Creek ATV trails are limited to ATV's up to 50 inches wide.
To reach the ATV riding trailhead for the Copper Creek ORV Area from the intersection of SR 7 and SR 13 in Clinton, go east/south on SR 13 for 9.5 miles. Turn left on CR SE 700 and go 0.5 miles. Turn right into the parking lot.
Overall, Copper Creek ORV Area is the 6th most popular ATV riding trail of all 12 ATV trails in Missouri.
