BC Nickel Mine Road For ATV Riding

The 3rd most popular all terrain vehicle trail in British Columbia.

Northeast of Chilliwack and north of Hope, the BC Nickel Mine Road region has 100km of tracks open to ATV riding.

To reach the ATV trailhead for Nickel Mine Road from Hope, head north on Highway 1 for roughly 12km. Turn left on BC Nickel Mine Road. Follow BC Nickel Mine Road as it winds up to the top of the hill to the fork in the dirt road. The right had fork leads to the main trail system.

Note: As of August 2008, the Ministry of Forests Regulations require all ATV drivers to be at least 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license to ride on Forest Service Roads. In addition, the ATV must have valid third-party liability insurance, which is typically around $120 per year. The Conservation Officers will issue a $600 ticket if you do not have proof of insurance.

Overall, BC Nickel Mine Road is the 3rd most popular ATV riding trail of all 61 ATV trails in British Columbia. Several of the better atv trails are nearby BC Nickel Mine Road including Jones Lake and Squeah FSR.
