Walker Valley ORV Area For ATV Riding

The 10th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Washington.

Southeast of Mt Vernon, the Walker Valley ORV Area is a lowland riding area popular with ATV riders. Elevations range from 500 to 3,000 feet. The Walker Valley areas is a fully authorized and managed ORV area with 36 miles of trails. Located off Highway 9 near Lake Cavanaugh, it is open year-round.

To reach the ATV riding trailhead for the Walker Valley ORV Area from US5, use Exit #538 for College Way in Mount Vernon. A few miles out of town, you will come to a "Y" in the road (Big Rock Grocery), head south on Highway 9 towards "Big Lake".

Continue until you see "Walker Valley Rd", and a small sign for Walker Valley ORV on your left about mid point on Big Lake, theres a sign for Walker Valley on the right. Follow this gravel road to trail head.

Overall, Walker Valley ORV Area is the 10th most popular ATV riding trail of all 35 ATV trails in Washington.
