Southwest of Beckley, the Burning Rock Off-Road Park has 100 miles of trails across 8,000 forest acres. The trails are open to ATV riding.

To reach ATV riding trailhead for the Burning Rock Off-Road Park from the north, head south on US77 towards Beckley. Merge onto US64 heading westbound for 2.3 miles. Take exit #42/ROBERT C BYRD DR/MABSCOTT (WV-97) onto ROBERT C BYRD DR(WV-16 S) toward SOPHIA (WV-97 W)/MULLENS - go 3.8 miles. Continue on COALFIELDS EXPY(WV-121). Bear Left on COALFIELDS EXPY(WV-121) - go 3.0 miles. Turn Left on MCKINNEY MOUNTAIN RD(CR-12/12) - go 0.9 miles. Turn right on THE COAL HERITAGE TRL(WV-16) - go approximately 0.5 miles. The Burning Rock Off-Road Park is on the left.
