Bear Creek Trail For ATV Riding

The 20th most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Idaho.

Northeast of Idaho Falls and southeast of Swan Valley, the Bear Creek Trail is a 9.2 mile route from the trailhead to the 4 Corners. At the 4 Corners, the trail connects with the Dead Horse Ridge Area Trails (separate map).

To reach the trailhead from Swan Valley, head southeast on US26 to Bear Creek Road (just before Palasades Reservoir). Turn right heading west on Bear Creek Road for 8.1 miles. Turn right into the trailhead parking area.

Note: ATVs will not be permitted to enter into the following National Forest campgrounds; Falls, Calamity, Big Elk Creek, and Alpine. The campgrounds listed will have a designated parking area for ATVs and ATV Trailers. All ATVs must be either parked in the designated area or put on the trailer and parked at your campsite if space is available.

Overall, Bear Creek Trail is the 20th most popular ATV riding trail of all 55 ATV trails in Idaho. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Bear Creek Trail including Railroad Right Of Way Trail, Sheep Driveway Trail, Highline Trail, Kelly Canyon Loop, Big Elk Creek Trail and South Fork Fall Creek TrailsPalisades Creek.
