Echo Canyon For ATV Riding

The 53rd most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Idaho.

Northeast of Idaho Falls and southeast of Swan Valley, the Echo Canyon Area Trails is a 16 mile trail system rolling over a series of ridges.

To reach the trailhead from Swan Valley, head southeast on US26 to FS058. Turn left heading south on FS058 (aka Snake River Road). Turn right on first road (FS077) to the trailhead. The trailhead is 2.8 miles from US26.

Note: ATVs will not be permitted to enter into the following National Forest campgrounds; Falls, Calamity, Big Elk Creek, and Alpine. The campgrounds listed will have a designated parking area for ATVs and ATV Trailers. All ATVs must be either parked in the designated area or put on the trailer and parked at your campsite if space is available.

Overall, Echo Canyon is the 53rd most popular ATV riding trail of all 55 ATV trails in Idaho. Several of the better atv trails are nearby Echo Canyon including Railroad Right Of Way Trail, Sheep Driveway Trail, Bear Creek Trail, Highline Trail, Big Elk Creek Trail and Kelly Canyon LoopSouth Fork Fall Creek Trails.
