Paunsaugunt - Daves Hollow Loop For ATV Riding

The 72nd most popular all terrain vehicle trail in Utah.

East of Cedar City and west of Bryce, the Daves Hollow Loop in the Paunsaugunt trail system is a 7 mile route open to ATV riding. It ranges in elevation from 7,740 feet up to 7,760 feet. The Daves Hollow Loop is open to vehicles from dirt bikes up to full size vehicles. It winds through ponderosa pine forest and Pinyon pines.

To reach the main trailhead ATV riding staging area for the Crawford Pass Loop from SR12, use SR63. Follow SR63 for 4.5 miles to the Gateway Trailhead.

Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding is permited on designated Forest Service roads only and the ATV must have a valid Utah ATV sticker. For a map of designated open roads, contact the Dixie National Forest HQ at (435) 865-3700.
