Northwest of Idaho Falls, the 10,000 acre St Anthony Sand Dunes has dunes up to 600 feet high open to ATV riding. The dunes are 15 miles across. The eastern side has small rolling hills ideal for beginners, while the western side has more challenging hills for advanced riders.  MORE INFO

East of Boise and north of Mayfield in the Boise National Forest, the 60,000 acre Danskin Mountains OHV Area has more than 150 miles of routes open to ATV riding. The trail system consists of six major trails spread over a mountainous high-desert setting. The trails range from easy to most-difficult. South of Grangeville in the Nez Perce National Forest, the Milner Trail is a 16 mile route open to ATV riding. The trail runs south from Fish Creek Trailhead along the west divide of Mill Creek. The wide trail is mostly gravel.  MORE INFO
