Northwest of Presque Isle in northeastern Maine, the Aroostook Valley Trail is a 75 mile trail system open to ATV riding on an old railroad grade. A trailhead is available northwest of Presque Isle on SR164 near Washburn.
From Embden to Bingham, the Kennebec Valley Trail is a 14 mile ATV route along the Kennebec River. The route offers spectacular views that take riders along the edge of the Kennebec River from Embden through Solon to Bingham. This route includes the historic Arnold Trail on the Kennebec River.
East of Bangor, the Sunrise ATV Trail System consists of 350 miles of trails. Ther are numerous trailhead parking areas. A good place to start is the Beddington trailhead.
