Northwest of Ironton and north of Hanging Rock in the Wayne National Forest, the Hanging Rock ORV Trail System has 26 miles of trails over 5,000 acres open to ATV riding. The area contains a network of nine very challenging trails through forested hills. Loops of varying length can be formed in this trail network.
Near Blue Rock, the 4,567 acre Perry State Forest has 16 miles of very popular and challenging APV trails across an area formerly strip mined for coal. These Perry State Forest trails are open to ATV riding.
West of Toledo and south of Swanton, the 3,000 acre Maumee State Forest has 5 miles of trails open to ATV riding. The Maumee State Forest is located in portions of Lucas, Fulton, and Henry County.
South of Chillicothe and west of Waverly, the 11,900 acre Pike State Forest has 15 miles of trails open to ATV riding. The trails wind through the hollows and ridge tops, offering the visitor a challenging ride as well as some beautiful scentery and breathtaking views.
Near Zaleski and northwest of Wellston, the 2,500 acre Richland Furnace State Forest has 8 miles of APV trails. These Richland Furnace State Forest trails are open to ATV riding.
South of Canton near East Sparta, the Bear Creek Amphitheatre has 26 miles of marked trails spread over 180 acres. The ATV riding trails roll through forest and creeks. There is a 250 foot hill climb.
Near Sheffield Village, the Ram Jam Sportsplex is an indoor motocross facility open to ATV riding. There is a 6 lane track spread over 70,000 sq.ft.
Southwest of Chillicothe and east of Hillsboro, the Happy Hollow Dirt Park has 100 acres of trails and hills open to ATV riding. There is also a large and small track.
South of Cleveland near Uhrichsville, the Crow Canyon MX Park has 400 acres open to ATV riding. There is something for everyone here whether it be trails or closed course MX tracks. There are miles of trails from easy to technical, there is a big MX track, a pee wee track, and there is an on-site bike and ATV shop for your convenience.
North of Ironton and east of Portsmouth in the Wayne National Forest, the Superior OHV Trail System has 13 miles of rolling trails through scenic forest open to ATV riders. The Superior OHV Trail System is shared with mountain bikers and dirt bike riders, so keep an eye out and slow down when passing. These trails can be crowded on the weekends.
