FEATURED: Winsor Trail
Northeast of Santa Fe, the Winsor Trail (#254) is a 8.5 mile mountain biking route descending from the Santa Fe Ski Basin at 10,300 feet down to near the Bishops Lodge at 7,100 feet in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
FEATURED: Rift Valley Trail
Southwest of Taos and Ranchos de Taos, the Rift Valley Trail is part of the excellent Taos Valley Overlook Trails network spread across rolling riparian terrain above the Rio Grande River.

East of Durango, the 30-odd mile Horse Gulch Trail System (aka Telegraph Trails) is a popular local mountain bike riding area along ridges through pinon and juniper forests.
FEATURED: Colorado Trail - Molas Pass
Northwest of Durango and southwest of Silverton, the 77 mile section of the Colorado Trail from Molas Pass down to Durango is considered an epic multi-day mountain bike trail.
BEST DURANGO MOUNTAIN BIKING
The best Durango mountain biking can be found along the Colorado Trail, Hermosa Creek Trail and the Telegraph Trail System. There are high alpine singletracks, dry pine forests and rolling desert tracks.
ANDERMATT MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS
The best Andermatt mountain biking is considered to be the routes descending from Oberalp Pass down into the Urserntal. These singletrack descents offer huge 2,000m of vertical through lush meadows with glacier peaks.
Southwest of Zurich and south of Interlaken, the Lauterbrunnen is well known for epic mountain biking descents and valley pathways. There are good descents from Wengen and from Murren down to the valley. The valley pathway is part of Swiss Bike Route #1.
COLORADO TRAIL MOUNTAIN BIKING
The Colorado Trail runs 500 miles from the Chatfield Reservoir near Denver to Durango traversing seven National Forests and criss-crosses the Continental Divide a dozen times. It is an epic mountain bike ride that has an annual point to point race.
