Mount Blue State Park For Mountain Biking

The 7th most popular mountain bike trail in Maine.

North of Weld, the 5,000 acre Mount Blue State Park has a challenging 17+ mile mountain biking loop over rough terrain with gorgeous views of Tumbledown Mountain and plenty of side trails. The well-marked Little Blue Mountain mountain bike ride ascends 700 feet up the namesake to the look-out and shelter via forested singletrack and doubletrack. Keep an eye out for moose and other wildlife.

The MBSP is 20 miles north of Rumford and west of Farmington, just north of Weld. To reach the mountain biking trailhead from US 2, head north up SR142 to SR 156 in Weld. Continue up Center Hill Road veering left. On top, use the parking area on the right. Starting riding following the signage at the trailhead.

Overall, Mount Blue State Park is the 7th most popular mountain bike trail of all 9 mountain biking rides in Maine.
